My car just started doing this. Its missing terribley under boost, past 13 psi or so. It is almost like its hitting the rev limiter. I have changed the plug wires out and it didnt help. I dont see anything wrong with the cap and rotor. Im thinking maybe the disrtibutor. I had the throttle body off, a vacum leak could cause this but i cant find one. Any thoughts?

How old are your plugs? What brand and what's the gap?

it was running perfectly up until the other day, the plugs have been the same since i put the car together. I switched out the plug wires, distributor and cap and it didnt help.

Plugs do wear out over time, champions aren't very good either...motocraft or autolite copper would be a better choice.
It could also be a fuel issue (plugged filter, weak pump, etc.).

i hope its not the pump, it is only 6 months old, a walbro 255. I am putting new filter on with the new plugs, the plugs are gapped at 25.

Plugs fixed it.

What I expected...for the record, these cars are hard on plugs (because of the high boost and low gap) so it's pretty common to change them out every 6 months or so (less if you put a lot of miles on it and the tune isn't perfect). It's always the first thing to check when it starts sputtering.
