This may be a common type of question. But how do I go about turbocharging my stock 2.3 non turbo motor?? I have a turbo manifold and I was going to buy a turbo and all of the other requirements for a turbo. However I started having a discussion with my cousin who knows a little more about doing this than I do. Apparently I can't just slap a turbo system on it and expect it to hold up. What do I need to do?? Also he started to tell me that stock turbo motor blocks have a longer deck height than a non... True or untrue?

Yes, it is a common question. It's actually answered in our FAQ: www.stinger-performance.com/faq.htmlDeck height is the same, pistons are cast flat tops though rather than forged and dished pistons in the turbo engines. 91-93 turbo swap wiring info (if using an 87-88 Thunderbird ECU): www.stinger-performance.com/turboswap.htmlReport back with questions that remain after reading through these pages.
