Hi let me introduce my self, 1st, as this is my 1st post. My name's Dan and i have 2 cars; 1973 triumph spitfire with 2.3 turbo ford (why im here) 2008 caliber srt-4 (daily) I have a 1979 2.3 ford motor in a 73 spitfire This cam: lift 2448(int+ex) @ 420valve 272/280 duration 3 angle valve job and rebuilt head holley 350 2 brl TD05H turbo (1st gen eclipse/talon i believe) a homebuild intake and exhaust manifold (LoL!) both look to flow pretty good. ( all 1 5/8") Spark is aided by an msd box (equivlent) and a good coil -stock bottom end- -Converted to blowthrough carb- oh ya and intercooler i dont have yet (so no specs) I plan on running at least 12psi. The reason i ask this question, its time to order my fuel pump and regulator... I was hopeing for 250hp @ 15psi. and planned on going with the warlborl 177 pump.... whatcha guys think? oh ya and here are some pics of teh old combination. OLD COMBINATION for laughs =( the car is TONS farther along and the hoodscoops coming OFF with the new stuff on =) also a little backround when the car ran like this ^^ it F'N HAULED!! Fastest car i ever ridden/drove in by far. from 25-75 id bet this car vs anything. i spun deep into 2nd, the cought grip and pulled hard... very hard.. the a WOT shift to 3rd felt amazing. my friend (whos into cars and rode in an evo@30psi) SCREAMED like a little girl =) Car should weigh 1800lb max w/ driver

Wow, talk about a death trap lol!
I'd expect something closer to 220-230rwhp at 15psi assuming everything is "right".

I'd expect something closer to 220-230rwhp at 15psi assuming everything is "right". haha, yea its a death trap.... but the interior is by far more along, and i added in frame connectors... roll cage is soon-to-be. So to answer my question, the warlborl 177 pump should be enough for me? oh and 220-230whp sounds amazing! ;D hello 11's!

I don't know much about pumps for a carb turbo, we run a 255 lph pump in EFI applications and it supports 450+hp.

Ok wow, being new to this site i really didnt think a company rep (?) to be answering my questions! Cool thanks!
dont know if you care to know, but;
tad info on turbo carbs you need to increase fuel pressure 1:1 ratio of boost. Also have a float that wont collapse (plastic float ftw) and no vaccum 2ndaries
theres much more to it obviously if you want to do it perfect but theres the "down and dirty" checklist.

Yes, all of that info is correct. You need a carb style fuel pump not an EFI pump though which I've never had to look into. Overall flow should need to be the same, just at a much lower pressure.

I was origionally going to put my 2.3l turbo into my triumph gt6 but I am by far not a fabricator so I sold it and bought a 1993 mustang convertible instead. I would checkout Britishv8.org. There are a lot of spitfires running on 2.3l turbo power. Check it out if u haven't yet. There is a guy on there I think his name is max brewster he has a 1979 spitfire. It is white with a blue stripe. Check out that car. Here is the page. www.britishv8.org/Triumph/MaxBrewster.htms588.photobucket.com/albums/ss328/nmanville3115/

Thanks for the link ^^ that white/blue one is super clean.
I ran into a problem maybe someone could help me with...
When i hook up the oil cooling lines for the turbo i was told i had to regulate the oil psi to 17psi... then, by someone else, i was told no regulator its fine.
again, its a td05h turbo.. any comments?

Heres a some pics of some parts i made for my triumph project... Intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and turbo exhaust outlet flange. Let me say the pics make these look like crap, they do look better in person. The reason(s) i made my parts, instead of purchasing are; The price of the exhaust mani i needed : 400 The price of the intake i needed: 200 No one made a turbo-outlet i needed (wrong direction) I made all these parts for $250 total, and enough matterial left over for at least one more of each of them if neccessary. so i saved enough money to buy the rest of the parts i need to get it running proper again HONEST OPINIONS please, good bad ugly, w/e i dont care LMK whatcha think. The intake mani looks to 'flow bad' but the head on the car has ovaled ports, and accepts the air in at that angle. so its not a bad design. I got a little bit of work left to do on all of them, but ya get the idea.. now for the pics: first the intake minfold: Turbo flange/exhaust outlet (made out of 8 peices of metal, i might add..) Header......

I don't see any real glaring issues. The intake manifold is a bit rough but the header and outlet elbow look pretty good!
The only real changes I would have made to the intake would be to put a curve on the outside edge of the plenum area to force the air/fuel towards the head as opposed to wanting to bounce off the floor and back towards the carb. I'd also grind down the welds in the plenum area.
Header is 1.5" tubing I assume?

Anyways i tesfitted the header today.... and the SOB doesnt fit right, lol its like 1" to long, (turbo might hit tire.. lol) so i gotta cut it in half again but its all good. intake fits like it was made for it Hopefully ill be posting "new kill" videos in the 2.3 video forum within a month or two. ;D im out for blood on any sti / evo ect. ect. If i need any products for the future ill deffinitly keep stinger in mind =) "customer support" goes a long way.
