I have a 92 Mustang and purchased the Stinger FMIC intercooler a long time ago. Finally had a chance attempt the install. Seems the tubing for the driver side needs cut to make it fit properly. Did not do that yet. Was wondering why such a tight fit. Looked at my old 86 Mustang and brother's 88. the 5mph bumper pistons are much longer. The 92 Mustang the frame box extends out and uses a much shorter piston. about 1" of space is wasted because of the box. Just have enough flex in the coupler to make it fit. Almost need the intercooler to be about 1/2" lower but is sitting on the bottom of the bumper already.
My question - Should I need to cut the tubing or am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else tried the kit on a 92 Mustang?

The intercooler inlet/outlet isn't centered so you may just need to flip the intercooler over. Without pics of the issue I can't say much more.

Found the biggest issue. Seems sometime in it's life someone used the bottom radiator support as a jacking point. I made some spacers and now the front bumper is flat along the bottom (not pushed up in the middle) and the intercooler is 1/2" lower fits perfectly

Ah, yeah that will do it. Glad to hear you figured it out.
