Well while I wait for my new clutch set up I was going threw the car and did some Radiator pressure testing and compression test. I found compression was fine 135psi in all 4, But I found some radiator coolant seeping out the back side corner of the driver side from between the head and block under 20psi. I know it means a new gasket. What I was wondering has anybody ever re-torqued it to get a few more passes out of it?

Did you retorque it initially? Either way, you can give it a shot and see what happens. Odds are if it's leaking it's already "tweaked" though and while a retorque may seal it up for a short time, it won't "fix" it.

Yes, I had retorque it once . I am just trying to buy some time so I can take back to the track on the same gasket. lol . I'll give it a try and re-test it to see if it holds up. I started looking for the Headgasket 1035. It's $50+bucks on most places any place to get it at a better price.

We won't discuss mine...I've only got 50 miles on it since it went back together in June.
There is a guy in Colorado making 596rwhp on an 8993 (stock felpro) headgasket. He's on E85 fuel though which is very forgiving. I run the 1035 gasket.

I'll keep using the 1035 it was good to me, for about 6months of hard use. ;D No E85 setup.
Thanks,

There is a good chance the damage was done early on before the tune was dialed in.
