I'd look at using Perfect Circle rings as they are the closest to factory available for the factory pistons.

Most parts stores, summit racing, etc. Shouldn't be much different in price than the others...

i pulled the head off last night (only took an hour ) and the cylinder walls are pretty smooth but you can still see the cross hatching, and theres no gouges in the walls as if i broke a ring gonna pull the valves out of hte head tonight and see if i burned one..

Just flip the head over and on the cylinder that the valves are both closed, fill the chamber with water and see if any leaks past the valves, then blow some air from an air hose into the ports and see if bubbles leak past the valves (or blow the water out of the chamber).

If it leaks out slowly over a period of time then you could probably get away with replacing the springs. If it only takes a couple minutes or less, you should get a valve job performed.

how about if i fill the chamber with water, and when i blow air in the exhaust port it bubbles like your blowing through a straw into milk?

It really shouldn't leak at all or should only leak a few small bubbles. I expected it to bubble profusely as every 2.3T head I've ever checked has done so. It means the exhaust seats are worn out and need to have seat inserts installed if you want them to seal up.
To clarify the above test, the air doesn't have to be sealed into the port in any way. Just literally blow into the port with an air gun...don't have to hold your hand around to seal it, don't have to do anything else. Don't even have to put the air gun all the way in the port. If you DO pressurize the port it may create enought pressure to push the valve off the seat which voids the test.

i filled it with water and just pointed the air gun at the port, i didnt seal it off at all. it blew LOTS of bubbles

Make sure they are hardened seats.
