Stinger,
I tried my old ebay manual boost controller with the ebay gate box that houses a spring and ball valve. HOLY CANNOLI.
Half throttle in 2nd gear and I shot to 14 psi like nothing. I really don't trust this unit even though I have the dial loose for minimum boost. I also think the spring is too stiff for the ball to even move at 10 psi.
I rather give you the business and would like a little info about the manual boost controller I saw on your site.

What are you wanting to know about it?

Earlier today I read online about the bleed style vs ball spring style and well I wasn't sure which way to go. I came across a lot of good things about the Gillis Valves and wondered what advantages they are over yours? Like I said I rather give you the business and so I ordered it a little while ago this evening hoping that there wouldn't be much of a difference in terms of helping to reduce lag and adjusting boost.

Bleeders don't really have any advantages unless slower spool is "good" for you.
Ours is a ball and spring and it's exactly the same as the original Gillis valves. Gillis started selling a "fancy" version of theirs that is aluminum and we started making their original design.

Day two running at 14 psi. Now I understand what you guys mean when you say the T3 has a kick. I almost had to shift into 3rd from the back!
Can't wait for your boost controller to come in. I want to set it for 10-12psi and leave it. My waste gate spring is too weak and only allowing 4-5 psi without any boost controller or ball spring gate.

These engines really wake up north of 15psi.

I would love to keep the boost around 15 psi but I am not too sure about the axles and tranny holding up. The engine is pretty stout minus the stock rods that I had shot peened and for added insurance, I installed ARP connecting rod bolts just in case. I do have a cometic head gasket and custom forged pistons too. 15 psi should not be problem there.
The tranny however is a diffrrent story. The MTX-III has mixed info all over the net. Some say they're weak and other say they handle 300 hp although the torque is what breaks transmissions. I feel that keeping it at 10 psi will prolong the life of the drive train. Besides the car weighs 1938 lbs without me and 10 psi from a T3 should be plenty.

Yeah, at that weight you don't need a ton of power.
