Given that the stock SVO turbo outlet is 2", and after reading the FAQ section, I still have s couple of questions. I understand the difference between 2-1/2" and 3" is negligible with lower HP goals, but what about 2" tubing? How restrictive is 2"? I have a Neon FMIC that has 2" inlet/outlet. Would 2" piping be enough for a limit of about 300HP? Would there be a gain in using 2-1/2" tubing and reducing it at both sides of the intercooler? For the future, would the 2" tubing be ok performance-wise with a 6258EFR?

Most likely the core and/or end tank design will be as much of a concern as the tubing size. If you were going to use an 2" intercooler then ideally you'd do 2" to the IC and 2.5" to the throttle body.

Ok. That makes sense. The end tanks are curved-shaped cast aluminum that turns the ends 90*. The Neon they came off of was rated at 230 HP. The core is 18.5x8x2.25.
What I may do is change the outlet from 2" to 2.5" and get rid of that 90* bend of the tank. That will make it easier to fit around the SVO radiator.
