Hey guys, so i'm new to this stuff as well and trying to figure a couple things out. I'm installing this 1987 turbo coupe motor in a 1978 mgb for my old man. I'm having a hard time figuring out the alternator wiring. I bought the Ron Francis Mg-65 wiring kit but it only has one wire running to the alternator and the plug on that one wire is completely wrong, it's labeled as an "excite wire." Needless to say i'm trying to figure it out so I can finish up this project and see how this motor and tranny set up does in this little car.

Post a picture of the alternator plugs and the connector in question.

The trouble is you don't have the stock alternator harness that connects those 3 plugs to the battery and regulator, or the regulator connector.
