Who was the "he" that did all the above work?
You'll have to do some reading about cam specs if you want to know what those mean. It's just defining the opening/closing action of the valves.
The 3.50 SVO trans is the best stock 2.3 trans IMO.

The "he" is a guys named Nick at modern performance in Long Branch, NJ. He did all of the motor work on the car.

I am going to try to get a hold of Nick on Monday to see if he has any solid info on the work done on the car, that way I know exactly what is in the car. Is it a benefit on my behalf that the turbine on my T3/T4 is a .48 a/r? Does that mean it will spool quicker?

Funny, I was going to ask if it was him because you mentioned a loud roller cam, "nitrous" stock rods, and a .550 lift cam, as well as misdiagnosis of the noise only AFTER thousands of dollars worth of head work was don't to "fix" it. Don't call Nick, he's bad news. A quick google search should uncover plenty of info. Here is a quick link from a few years ago: tuner23.rothfam.com/msg02724.html

Stinger,
Is my set up OK, should I be listening for anything in particular to prevent me from having a serious problem? What do you think I could do to fix the noise or does it even need fixing? My most curious question: What stage cam would this be if it has got a .550 lift on it?
Everything considered, even though the car is loud and rocks hard at idle.....when you give it gas she smooths right out. I am guessing that is normal??
Has anybody here had any dealings with Nick?

The noise is most likely related to either improper setup during the cam install, too aggressive of cam events for a hydraulic HLA, or a combination of the two. Without hearing the noise myself, it's difficult to say how much of an issue it is or could be. Obviously if the noise gets worse or if you see any metallic shavings in the oil then it's a major issue.
The "stage" of cam is something that is used to simplify the process of choosing a proper cam. There is no way to relate any particular cam to a "stage" a different company uses. .550 lift is pretty large though and is the reason for the rough idle.
