I have a 93 mustang 2.3na, im about to order my pimp setup and just need some clarification on a few things.
I will be staying n/a while I do my harness changes and learn how to use the pimp and then I will be swapping in a turbo 2.3.
my questions are.
1- pimpx or pimpxs and why. take into consideration ill be ordering the coil near plug and cas kit also to be installed also at a later date.
2- when I pull down the drop down menu under forced induction do I select turbo or no? im n/a now but will go turbo.
3- after the pimp purchase will I gain access to the locked forum stuff?
4- after I get up and running will I be able to cut and slim down my harness by removing everything not used?
ill be placing my order soon so thanks for the help

1) Depends if you want to eventually run sequential injection or waste spark/batch fire injection. That's the only difference between the ECU's.
2) Turbo
3) The only locked section is the Microsquirt section and a PiMPx is not a Microsquirt so there is no reason for you to have access to a section that doesn't have any info that applies to you.
4) Yes.
Note you'll need a wideband so if you don't already have one, we offer the Spartan 2 for that purpose.

Cool deal thank you sir I’ll send my order in a few minutes
What does the forced induction option do ? Like me staying n/a for a while to work out bugs will selecting turbo have any impacts on that ?

It just determines the base tune. No impact for an n/a setup running the turbo base tune but the turbo setup can't run an n/a base tune, hence the reason I said to select the forced induction selection.

Note the PiMPxs requires high impedance injectors only. So you're fine for now as the stock n/a injectors are high impedance. Once you go turbo you'll need to buy larger high impedance injectors instead of running the stock turbo injectors.

On 92 Mustangs the air bag wiring is wrapped in the factory ECU wiring. When I changed to a PimpX I drilled a hole in the firewall just for the airbag wiring so it not longer is wrapped up with the ECU wiring on my 92 Mustang. A few people mentioned when they changed out the ECU the air bag light flashes- usually the cause it the wiring was left out

Never had any airbag issues with my swapped 91 Mustang.
