I'm considering the FMIC for a stock mount setup on an SVO that has the Motion Dynamics R134 AC installed. What usually has to be done to the AC condenser to fit everything in?
obviously it's better to remove the bumper cover, but is it necesssary for the install or can I just work through the bottom with the cover unbolted?

It's just a matter of simply unbolting it and moving it rearward an inch or so. If you want to reuse the factory mounts, you can with some modification. You can also just put a rubber stopper between the IC and condenser so they don't rub.
I find it much easier to remove the radiator (2 bolts), loosen up the condensor mounts, pull it out of the way, and put the IC in that way. Otherwise the next option would be to remove the bumper cover. I'd never try to flex the bottom of the bumper cover...it's old and VERY expensive if it cracks or something.
