I'm a nub and don't wanna jack it up, anyone feel like schoolin me on how it goes on? Anyone have plans for/ a pick of the plumbing back into the dp from the wastegate (for inspiration)
also, on the oil drain line, I want to remove the funky shaped fitting for the old line from the block, correct? How many threads in is enough on the new fitting, and what way should it point when it's in correctly?

Here is an example of proper wastegate routing: You'll note the wastegate location is reversed on that header but that doesn't effect the concept. The line orientation is in the FAQ section "How do I install oil line" thread. You do remove the "funky fitting". Put a little teflon tape on the new fitting going into the block and crank it down pretty tight. No specific number of turns will do, just pretty damn tight.

The 1.5" ring goes in the wastegate where it bolts to the header, it acts as a valve seat to seal the wastegate piston when closed.
Two of the washers go under the nipples that thread into the head of the wastegate to hook the boost lines to. The rest are for the bolts/nuts to attach it to the header and dump tube.
