Hi Shannon, I am converting my SVO T/B to a Super Coupe T/B. I clipped the connectors for the TPS and the IAC when I was at Pick-N-Pull
The TPS seems to be straightforward, as the colors are the same.... Orange...Green...Black, which match the SVO harness The IAC wires, however, don't match. The S-C T/B has a Red wire and a Red/green stripe....the SVO Harness is Red/blue slash and Grey/white. How do they match up? Thanks, Howard

Just guessing based on colors, the SVO wires are likely red = power, white = ground. SC would be red = power, red/green = ground. Use a multimeter to confirm.

I hate to sound stupid...but how do I check the S/C valve with a multimeter?
And you are correct regarding the SVO wires...Diagram shows Red/Blue slash is power, and Grey/White slash is ground

Red/green has been used as signal return/sensor ground on Fords for decades and red is universally a 12v power color. No reason to suspect this isn't the case on the SC.

Hi Shannon! I have finished the new engine install, and I am beginning the tuning process with the PiMP wesk rebuilt for me. I am assigning this as a New Project, which allows me to start tuning from scratch. To "rough-in" the idle, I adjusted the idle screw per the S/C club instructions, which say to adjust a 0.010" gap under the screw with butterfly closed, then tighten screw 1-1/2 turns. Of course, until I can get the car running at idle, I have no way of knowing if this is accurate. At that setting, the S/C TPS is reading .66v at idle and 4.38v at WOT. Is this close enough to proceed with the setup? If not, how would you suggest I modify the TPS to get it closer to the 0.94v at idle?
Thank you so much for your help! Howard

The S/C instructions won't work for a 2.3 because a SC is a larger engine and therefore it needs more air to idle. Either way, it can be adjusted after the fact. Beware that some of the SC/94-95 GT TB has an air bypass screw that's adjusted with an allen wrench. It's on the bottom side (right above the cam cover). If yours has one of these (often under a little rubber cap), close it all the way.
The max/min voltage doesn't matter at all with our ECU. Just calibrate it in TS.

Thanks for the info on the TBs! I Hope to be up and running soon!
