has anyone used quarter horse and if so is it pretty good and what all do i need to go with it to get my car tuned. i have a 87 2.3t coup motor in my 79 mustang. Ive got it running pretty good but want to start getting some good numbers down right now its on 12 psi front mount inter-cooled arp head studs and a stainless steel head gasket but i really don't no what to do next to get some good horse power numbers also got the ranger roller cam in a couple of days ago. i had i 440 lift and a 273 dur cam in be for but it though it was to big for the stock valve springs so i swapped it for the ranger cam but lost a good amount of power from it so if anybody could step by step to getting some good power but still be reliable car

I haven't used the QH but everything I've seen has been positive. You should just need the QH and tuning software (binary editor) to tune with it. You'll want a wideband 02 meter to monitor air/fuel ratios.
Sounds like the cam wasn't too large for the stock springs. If it's questionable though, you could always get some better springs to drop in with the cam.
Our FAQ page gives a ton of different modifications and what kind of power to expect out of them. I'd suggest starting there to figure out what it takes to make "x" hp.

OK cool thats what ill plan to get next thanks for the info stinger you help out alot. i have a wideband hooked up to my stock o2 sensor but once i get a tuning soft ware ill have it on a separate o2 sensor and i was thinking about getting bigger springs but just not right now i was really scared of floating a valve because Ive already done it in a old 2.3 n/a motor with that big of cam... thanks again

you have a wideband in place of your o2 sensor with no other o2 sensor . Not a good idea. the quarter horse is a good tool. you need more boost. get bigger springs and run the other cam. have you played with timing...etc alot can be had from these cars just by tweaking the little things.
