Installing my Spartan WideBand O2 sensor. Application is 91 5.0. As I read the Quick Setup Guide V2.0, I have 2 options: 1) cut my narrowband harness off and use that to make up the connection to the wideband sensor, and then connect to the engine harness. 2) Run the Spartan wiring from the sensor up under dash and make the connections as described near the ECU connection. I think I would prefer #1, but I'm confused by the "Spartan 2 Lambda Controller" that came with my kit. I'm assuming that needs to remain connected to the wideband, and I connect the narrowband harness plug upstream of the Lambda Controller? Attachment Deleted

Without the controller, the wideband sensor is useless. The controller is required for the sensor to function.
Yes, to your pic, though I wouldn't cut it so short out of the controller that you don't have enough wire to work with, or enough to be able to cut/fix a connection if you don't wire it correctly.

I am doing this installation and have a questions about the spartan installation. I noticed you have the probably same issue I have in wire colors. My original sensor only has the 4 wires and the are 2 white wires, a black wire and a grey wire. None of those colors are listed on the installation guide so I am not sure how to splice this in. How did you do yours?

You look at the colors of the vehicle harness where it connects to the O2 sensor, not the O2 sensor itself.
