Just rebuilt my tc and put a new aluminum radiator in it and have electric fans on a toggle. Problem is the car gets hot to the point where I’ve completely gashed an upper rad hose. What is the issue? Timing? Running a fat turbonetics charger externally gated at 20+ish psi Yes toggle switches are on,fans are running pulled thermo which helped but still gets to the “N” before I stop. Anything would be a big help!

Are the fans running the wrong direction (wired backwards)?
Do you have a big air bubble in the system that's preventing air from circulating properly?
These engines do not run hot (even highly modified) unless something like the above issues are present, or ignition or cam timing is WAY off (which also causes the exhaust manifold to glow orange under normal driving conditions).

Yes the fans are running the right way cause I feel them pull air into the bay. My timing marker broke off so idk what I’m running other than what starts easy and idles good. Might be a tooth off on the cam. Is there a write up on how to properly align the cam and crank? It’s been a while... 😅

Here: www.stinger-performance.com/tech.htmlYou can't set timing "by ear" with a turbo engine. While you can get away with it on a n/a engine, turbo engines melt pistons and blow up or blow the headgasket with too much timing. We sell timing pointers to facilitate this.

Just bought it. What do you recommend for timing?

Stock timing if you're running premium fuel. What stock is depends on what year TC it is. 10 deg BTDC with the spout removed is a good safe option though. Plug spout back in after setting timing, and make sure timing changes to 25+ after you put the spout back in.
