Hello. I am wondering where i can purchase/find replacement springs for the stinger wastegate. I have the softer springs in mine and have misplaced the stiffer ones. I am pushing around 25lbs and my duty is too high with the low spring rate. Thank you!

The design and which spring size is used has changed over time so the best thing to do is to measure the OD, ID, and height and then get a universal spring that matches. We may have an extra stiff spring as we've got a box of misc springs but I'd have to know these dimensions to have any idea. We've used 1.88, 1.95, and 2.33 OD springs (that I'm aware of). Also note that they have an area for a "small" and "large" spring so you can run two springs to reach the boost pressure you're targeting.

I finally got the wastegate off to review the spring...bolt broke trying to get it off. It looks like a steel colored spring, no colors.

Also appears to be just above 2-1/4" OD

I just ordered one on amazon. Its surprisingly hard to find any "universal" springs. And none of the big name brands state the size of the springs, only which model of theirs it fits. So hopefully the one i ordered works! We will see

If it's 2.35" OD then that's the same spring as the 2-bolt 38mm Tial WG's use.

I purchased a "large yellow, believe 14 psi" and "small yellow, believe 5psi" which should allow the gate to open at around 19psi give or take. I figured a bit of variance due to spring length/ratings etc. Ran the car and it made 30psi and the wategate didnt open, could have made even more boost. Obviously not what i want... i took out the smaller inner spring and it the gate opened at 26psi. Weird. The sprinf was about half inch longer than the spring that came with the wastegate from here, so that must account for a higher rating thatn what was rated, but i cant imagine it brings the rating from 14 to 26psi. Any thoughts on what is going on? Do i need to modify wastegate? Try different spring? Thanks! I am lost on this.

What about combining the 5psi and the spring the gate came with? What's that get you?
Note you can check this with compressed air, no need to run the engine (at least until you know you are close).
If you put compressed air to the gate's hose and regulate it down to 10psi or something, then slowly open the regulator, you can see at what pressure the gate cracks open and at what pressure it's all the way open. Compare this to what you saw while driving and you'll know how far the gate opens to get to 26psi. Then you can swap to the original spring + 5psi spring and see how it compares. Can also try just the "5psi" spring and see how it acts.

I did already try that combo as well unfortunately. Similar results. To try it with air compressor, do i need a gauge? Or can i just fill up the tank to 10psi and then try it that way

You really need a gauge, preferably an actual air compressor with a gauge and regulator. Otherwise pressure drops as soon as you start letting air out of the tank.
