I'm thinking about making some sort of switch that could make my car immobile, perhaps something that would kill the fuel pump. I'm looking at the wiring diagram for the 84 SVO and would an ON / OFF switch on the wire from Pin 22 work? Pin 22 looks like it grounds the 12V source that goes through the inertia switch that "operates" the fuel pump relay.
Is using a switch to control a ground to stop something from turning on a bad idea?

Killing the FP relay with a switch is fine. We also sell "anti-theft" kits on our site if you're wanting to be able to disable more than just the pump with a switch (or with a key fob).
