i was checking to see if a MicroSqurit can control a 4R44E transmission? i know it will control a 4R70W . thank you

It was added to the developer trans control firmware in 2020.

What exactly does that mean?
Sorry if I'm asking something that should be obvious.
Edit: Looks like I found my own answer once I figured out what to look for. The 4R44E was added to Microsquirt pre-1.2 beta 1. So it's implemented in pre-release firmware, but not officially supported yet. So maybe once v1.2 is officially released, but who know when that might be.

Yes, it's basically that it's past the "does this work fundamentally" alpha stage, but still in the testing/Beta stage where people are using it on their vehicles but there still may be changes made before the official release. It's available for anyone to use, it should just be understood that it's not a finished product so there could be minor bugs yet to be discovered (that's the point of the beta stage).
