For my new set up i have to set up an oil drain line from the turbo staight to the pan and i am aware i have to remove the pan. my question is are there any tips for removing the pan? i still have a factory k member and every time iv ever taken the pan off was when i had the engine completely out, id rather not take the engine completely out, any tips?

You can get it out without removing the engine, there is a guide in the misc. tech articles section of our site. In most cases it's easier to remove the engine though than it is to remove the pan from under the car. To be honest you shouldn't have to remove the pan to put a drain fitting in it.

If i dont have to remove the pan then what do i do, simply drill the hole for the fiting and stick it in there with some jb weld? what about the metal from the drilling? will it just sink to the bottom? or float at the top where the sump cant get it? throw me some tips im open to just about anything.

Well, if you are going to use a steel fitting, you can drill the hole with a drill bit dipped in grease. If you drill it slow the pieces should stick in the grease and not go in the pan. Just be slow and methodical about it. I wouldn't use jb weld though, you need to actually weld it or thread it in. You can use jb weld to fix any small leaks but don't use to to be the strength of the connection.
Be sure to drain the oil into the pan above the resting oil level. You don't want the oil line draining into a pool of oil in the pan, you want it above that level so it "waterfalls" into the oil pool in the pan.

hmm very helpful info. this is my last concern where would be the best place to put the fitting, i now know it would need to be high on the pan but is it best put in the rear or front of the pan? im currently using a twin scroll header, the position of the center section of the turbo is moved forward so the easiest spot to get to in on the right front of the pan but where is best? thanks for your help!

Position front or rear shouldn't really matter, front may be a bit better as it won't be effected by oil flowing to the rear under acceleration. I'd probably put it near the middle.

-10an would be ideal, yes.
