just want to clarify my work thus far using the instruction i downloaded here.
Note: Remove unused Pin Connector #3 from LX wire harness red block (or take one from your TC harness you salvaged, and put this pin connector and wire into the red block of your LX harness to plug into your Pin 43 position on the TC computer. The LX harness lacks this connecting pin). Connect the Vane Air Temp (light green/purple) to Pin 43 using this transferred wire you have moved into position 43.
I cut my EGR connector off. and wired as follows
vam vref - egr orange/white vam vaf- egr brown/lt green vain air temp - used "salvaged" pin and wired from 43 straight through the firewall to vam connector light green/purple. does it matter that pin 3 of the mustang connector is still connected or do i still remove it?
Note II: Splice into/"T" connect the VAM signal return (black/white) wire into the LX harness (black/white) wire that goes to pin 46. Do not cut the LX harness (black/white) wire going into pin 46, simply connect this VAM signal return black/white wire to it.
vam sig rtn- i did not splice but used cut wire black/white of the egr connector. does it matter that i cut instead of "T" into since egr is no longer used and is now the connection for my vam?
act- just plug the connector to sensor no mods required?

It shouldn't matter that pin 3 is still in the harness. As long as VRef gets 5v and vam sig return is a ground, it's fine.

I think so, though the quick check above is the easy way to know.
