Is it possible to use the CAS as just a cam sensor? Car just got a new MS3 Pro Ultimate installed and decided to go full sequential. I saw the full sequential listed in the description and guess I didn't understand that this may not be what I wanted. The instructions seem to be geared toward using the CAS as both the crank and cam location to get the sequential. I ended up buying 2 of these and would like to make them work, otherwise I have to find something else. Thanks for any suggestions.

I don't understand the question? With a CAS, you use it to go full sequential without the need for a crank sensor. Why do you want to add a crank sensor?

I already have the 36-1 and have the most solid timing I've ever had. Unless you can do full sequential off just the crank. Pretty sure you need at least one tooth to tell it what cycle its on. I just remember timing with the distributor jumping several degrees from all the tolerances adding up and don't want to go back to that.

You can't run full sequential without a cam signal. If you want to run a simple cam sync instead of the CAS, you can return them for a small loss and get cam syncs for each.
