There are a lot of factors that go into this, every setup is different. Wondering at which point I need to add meth injection or if there is still some room to go with the current setup on 93 pump gas only.
Stock 85 2.3T longblock 93 2.3 DP heads and intake Boport 1.9 cam/springs/HLAs 93 Octane IATs always less than 120deg (they drop further into the run I go) 180deg coolant always 80lb injectors with a 340lph pump HX35 12cm housing, eBay header PIMPx MS3 Stinger FMIC Currently running 24psi AFR around 10.9 to 11.5 Stock PIMPx ignition map less 5 degrees everywhere.
Is upper 20s out of the question, should I add a knock sensor and increase until I measure knock? Thoughts?

The dual plug head is the biggest thing that complicates giving an educated guess here as there isn't nearly as much data with those as the single plug version. With a single plug head and our base tune timing map, I'd say 23-24psi would be the max. With the dual plug head and -5 timing, I'm not really sure.
I don't think knock sensor addition is the answer. If you have access to a dyno, you can sweep timing to figure out where you should be. It's not advantageous to keep pulling timing so you can run high boost as the end result won't be more power than lower boost and more timing, and EGT's will be way higher. If you don't have dyno access, it's likely time to add water/meth or race fuel if you're wanting to run high 20's boost.

Good points, thank you!
When doing meth injection and using single plug heads as an example. Where are the reasonable limits at for timing and boost? Looking for a ball park. 5 to 10 psi plus more timing or just 5 to 10 psi? I understand the guesswork here, which is why I’m leaning on the single plug experience you guys have.
It’s just a toy, so if the head gasket goes no big deal.
Thanks

Then it depends on how much you're spraying, where it's spraying, and such. In general, water/meth does a good job of keeping detonation at bay. You'd not be pulling more timing (the timing table has ignition retard with boost built into it) so you'd just be raising boost. Obviously you can run more boost with straight meth than a 50/50 mix, and water is the least detonation resistant of the 3 options, but still probably good for +5 psi over pump gas.
