I am starting to tear down the motor and of course after 20+ years of crap it needs a good cleaning. What is the best way to clean sensors, harnesses, and injectors??

Sensors should typically wipe off or if the non-plastic components are corroded, you can use a wire wheel to clean them up. I typically use brake clean or carb cleaner on the harnesses but I believe some people would say it's too harsh for wiring. Most of the time it's the loom that's oily though, not the actual wires. Injectors can use carb cleaner. Just remove the o-rings first.

For electrical connections I use Electronic Parts Cleaner from Radio Shack. Comes in a spray can. It will get rid of corrosion quickly. Just don't get any on the paint or in your eyes. Let them dry and put a nice amount of Di-Electric grease on the connections and push them together. That will keep the moisure out and make them easy to get apart later too.

I was showed a trick by a master mechanic, in which he learned from a master mechanic. Apply valve grinding compound on the male portion of the plug. Connect and disconnect the plug several times. Reapply the compund if necessary, then clean wipe away the excess and clean with brake/carb cleaner. I used it on a A/C clutch cycling switch and it worked like a dream!
