Hello again. Hadn’t intended to go 5 lug swap on this car, but happened upon some 95 spindles while looking for a new heater control. Couldn’t let me go so now I have a question about the rear TC rear disc swap
I do NOT want to keep the stock foxbody width, and every where I look forums are saying SN95 axles are the same length as the TC. So could I use a set of SN95 axles, a set of the 5 lug 1993 Cobra rotors and my stock TC rear brake hardware?
The math adds up to me, but coming off night shifts so in Zombie Mode
Thanks for reading

I believe the axle info is correct.
The rest of the brake setup should work if the Cobra rotors are the same diameter as the TC.
One thing that needs to be part of this equation, is if you're using SN95 brakes, you need the master cyl to be sized correctly for the size of the front and rear calipers.

Thanks. If I use my TC calipers would you use the 94 MC? Seems to be the norm on the interweb

I am doing the same on an 85TC. What year is your TC? I have manual rear brakes the conversion was finding a 95/96 SN95 rear with all the brackets - had to re-gear. For me the disc conversion involved find the correct or close emergency cable for the caliper to mid connection, since the TC is a foot pedal and not lift handle emergency brake style (Foxbody).
You will need a new MC and the 94 should work, plus some plumbing adapters. If you don't change the vacuum booster you will have a pretty hard pedal. If you are going to use the Cobra front rotor (13"), you should use the Cobra rear rotor (11.65") to keep it balanced. You will need the caliper bracket that goes with the larger brake rotor. The inter-webs say that if you go with the Taurus rear calipers (43mm vs 38mm) you may not need to change the proportioning valve. I have not got the far yet.
As you may find the TC has longer (3/4") rear control arms.
Good luck

I'm not 100% sure on the brake hardware but the SN95 axles are the same width as the TC axles. I believe the only differences may be spline count ( not sure on this one) and obviously the bolt pattern. I don't see why you couldn't use stock TC hardware for the brakes. The only other thing to be aware of is the difference in brake lines out back. The line that connects the body side brake hard line to the axle hardlines is different on the foxbody and TC. I'm currently swapping over to 94-95 cobra stuff and haven't quite gotten there yet. As several other have pointed out already, a properly sized MC is very important here regardless of which route you go. When I did the first brake upgrade on my 88TC, I went with SVO front calipers and stock 88 TC rear hardware. I removed the stock TC Teves II unit and went with an 89 brake booster (smaller unit) and a SVO master cylinder. Between a hardline adapter kit and flaring some of my own lines, it worked out great. Stopping power was great.

Right on Turbobird! I have a MC and front brake caliper from a crown vic that was planned for a 5.0 Mustang back in the day but believe the bore is over 1.00. Will probably just buy a 94 MC off LMR to keep things simple, and add the MC to the pile of parts to either sell or put back in the shed for next time haha
