Just got the Pimpxshift sn95gt

So I was looking through the 20 page manual and something about changing pins for the aode trans but it shows only to do that with the truck transmission.
Is that correct ? since I did not get the drill bit and tool to change pin on harness plug.
THX for any insight before I start tearing into this build.
