Ok guys ill fill in some details about the build, unfortunately I did have to rush this because after the accident I was given the news that in a short time I would have to go to some far off place and do Army things. Also due to the fact I don't have my own garage I have to pay for garage time and storage so time became money. Anyway here are some pics and stuff Lets start with the Damage to ol'Blue.. the photos don't really do it justice. I wish I had the time and money to fix it but no luck. Here is after I gutted it Closer.. other side

Ok on to the new host, I got it from a guy who was using it for an auto cross project, I probably over paid just a bit considering a few things I found that I didn't like after but nothing to horrific. it was basically striped except for the dash, the lights and electrical harness, front and rear suspension. This was a first for me, doing a complete drivetrain, suspension, electrical and interior swap. As usual I ended up doing 95% of this solo witch is one of the reasons it took about 3 months but I don't regret it. Pick up day.. Didn't get a pic of the dash, it was actually pretty neat. It was a 4 banger and the guy did a v8 swap. it was a no option car, it doesn't even have defrost!

Yeah it was, I was completely fine. the rear passanger wheel got caught on a fence pole and broke the axle, and sent the driver front right into a wall and spun me 180*.

Yeah it was few little things I still have to do when I get back but it runs and drives fine, defiantly keeping it very hotrod on a budget inspired.

Almost forgot, here is a picture of the axle that got snapped. of course I replaced it, when it ripped of it took out the brake pads of course and my wheel was wrecked but besides that no damage to the housing.

Here are a few before and after, because I was on a time crunch and a limited budget I reused as much as I could of what was salvageable. here are a few highlights. I wanted a new carpet pretty bad for a while but it just wasn't in the budget so I took my old gross carpet, cleaned it, striped it and tossed it right in the new host, turned out pretty well considering. Gross Less gross Good enough I ended up reusing the entire interior trim except tiny things like the coat hangers I this one has manual locks so there are just the empty holes on the panel where the window switch was. Ill snap a completed interior shot when I get back, looks like I forgot too. Under the hood was pretty gross grease, grime, and white just don't mix. Better, I wanted to paint it black but I wanted to do it right but just didn't have time.

I like the white and the blacked our headlight/grill area better than the all blue combo so that's a bonus if you feel the same way.

Yeah I wanted to use some of that peel away vinyl paint on the blue one just so see what it would look like blacked out. I do like the look and want to get some tint to complement it.

Hey all, Been gone for a while. here are a few more belated photos and a few updates. I bought this sweet water pump because I decided to toss my heater core this time around, Just less stuff to plumb and i won't be driving it in the winter anymore. It works VERY well, to well for me actually but ill get back to that. Here is a picture of me removing the water pump after install, you may be wondering "wtf". Turns out when I sent the block out to get cleaned a few YEARS ago then they replaced my freeze plugs one was left in there. it seized up the new Water pump but thankfuly it was just cosmetic damage.

Apperently at some point during the process of striping wires from my dash harness that I didnt need I guess I must have taken out my whipers by mistake. So I just removed the whole assembly untill I can source a replacement dash harness and covered the whole with a delete plate I made. First time out after rebuild. I have never had any Issues with over heating with my 2.3t, If anything it runs too cool, about 170ish. If I got into boost for a bit then yeah it would rise some but im talking cruising/ idle temp. Once after I swapped out my water pump for the Essy pump it ran even cooler, 150ish maybe less. But I did have the coldest thermostat I could get so i bought a factory rateed temp thermo and put it in. I didnt notice a difference, so the I figured it time for some under drive pulleys. I went with NeedHp's because they where cheap, then I found out about the essy power pulley but oh well. Because the Crank pulley is SOOOO small with their pulley set I figured I should upgrage to PA's 3G. I also bought the smallest Alt pulley I could find. check out the pics below. (Dont worry about that lower hose its back to normal now lol) Even with my super small crank pulley its a 14.5 volts at idle (900-1000rpms) unless I tune my lights and my fan on then it drops to 12.6ish.
