Still slowly working on this. Between working at the dragstrip and the business my wife runs I don't have a lot of extra time.
I did get the doors off the donor car on the SVO shell. Hope to move the hatch tomorrow. Still have the rust repair to do, but the car is stripped inside and out. Next step after that is to pull the engine in a T-Bird I bought to rebuild (supposedly spun a bearing) and stick in the SVO.
I'm going to put it back together with minimal parts, make it as light as possible without going crazy. Last SVO I had weighed 3060, I hope this one will weigh that with me in the car.

Shouldn't be too hard to strip a couple hundred pounds out of it.

There will be no AC or heat. The interior will be there, but the sound proofing and any unnecessary parts will be gone. The doors going on the car are manual window/lock. Where else could I shed a few pounds?

Depends how far you want to go...you've got the "reasonable and reversible" things covered though.

You could cut the door bars out, they weight about 15-20lb a piece. Wouldn't do this unless you are going drag only.
