I regretted selling my '84 SVO early last year since the moment it drove away. After keeping an eye on Craigslist I finally found a cheap SVO. It's a 1985, no engine, no transmission, no interior. I really think someone was stripping it to build a V8 drag car. It has a little rust, but it's a decent start. The guy wanted $500 for it, but I talked him down to $350. Inside the car there's a C6, fuel cell and a bunch of other parts that are unrelated to an SVO. Should be able to sell them off to offset the price further. It even came with another set of SVO wheels. I'm going to start gathering parts and stripping it down for paint in a month or two. Need to get a couple other things out of the shop first.

Nice! Should be able to get it free after you sell the extras...

Kind of what I'm hoping. That's good though, with all the parts needed to make it whole again.

It's not bad, the rear bumper will probably need replaced, the driver's fender is a little rough and the driver's door is rotted through on the bottom. For the price I'm not going to complain though.

Is there a way you could transfer the door tag to a new door? Or are you just going to repair the rotten door?

I haven't decided. The door tag is pretty rough. I can't make out anything on it at the moment.

That'd be something I'd try to save really hard. Seems to be a pretty important piece if selling to a collector someday.

I was informed by my wife that this is the last car, so I better keep it.

Finally got the car off of the trailer. I'm not sure if the e-brake stuck or if the flat tires wouldn't allow it to roll, but I had to use the Capri to pull it off the trailer...

The Explorer is a non-runner at the moment. Needs at least a fuel pump.
