The Magnaflow muffler I recieved for the 3in exhaust is about 2 inches narrower than the factory muffler. Because the muffler is narrower the outlet pipe is about 2 inches towards the passenger side of the car. This causes the tailpipe to not fit. If the outlet of the muffler were in the same location as the factory muffler the exhaust would fit perfectly. I can not move the mid pipe over or it will hit the floor. I don't believe the exhaust system was designed for this muffler. The magnaflow muffler that came with the exhaust kit is 8" wide. I think a muffler that is wider, like the following, which is 9.75" wide, but the same length, would fix the problem: www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-17229/Thoughts??

I don't think that Dynomax muffler really has any/much more offset. I think the in/out is just farther from the edge.
I have the same midpipe/muffler/tailpipe design on my SVO and it doesn't touch anywhere. It is close at the upper frame rail as shown in your middle pic (a little less than 1/4" on mine though).
It looks like sliding it towards the rear 1/4 to 1/2" would fix the control arm clearance issue and a slight rotation of the tailpipe should get a tad more frame rail clearance.

Tried moving the tail pipe out/in, tried moving muffler side to side, front/back, what ever we do it touches that stock control arm. The other muffler would move the pipe two inches toward the driver's side which would make it clear. Please give me approval to return the muffler for a refund, thanks.

Yes, you can return it if it's unused (installed but engine never running).

We put the Ultra Flow muffler on and that really helps the fitment issue a lot. But with the stock upper control arms we have to hang the systems an inch or two lower then we think it should hang to completely clear everything. Tubular upper control arms (round tube style) should provide significantly more clearance and we believe this will allow the system to be tucked up tight. We will run the system hanging a little low for now until funds free up to swap out the upper control arms.
We started the car with the Magnaflow installed just to hear it run. Muffler still looks new but you can tell engine was run. Would you let us return it for a reduced refund?

Sorry I thought I replied to this previously but I don't see any evidence of it.
You can return the previously ran muffler for a half price refund as that is the typical value of an item that has been used.

Here are some pictures with the Dynomax Ultra Flo muffler installed. This muffler moves the tail pipe over toward the driver's side because it is wider. This allows the tail pipe to clear the stock control arm and frame. Here is the pipe to frame rail:

Here is pipe to floor clearance. About 1/4" or so clearance. We believe the mid pipe should be more toward the passenger's side so it could be tucked up into the drive shaft tunnel. But with the huge stock upper control arms we have to run it more toward the driver's side so system must be hung low.

Here is pipe to upper control arm clearance. We plan to switch to tubular upper control arms. This will allow us to move system over to passenger's side which will allow us to raise system up an inch or two. Right now system can't be raise because mid pipe will hit the floor. But if its moved over the mid pipe will be in the trans tunnel and could be raise up.

We went with an aftermarket heavy duty universal hanger. This hanger is very stiff. The system has no side to side movement at all. So while the exhaust is close to frame, control arm, and floor it will not hit using this hanger.

Here you can see the system from the front of the car. Not bad but with tubular upper control arms it can moved over toward passenger's side and raised quite a bit because mid pipe would then be more in the trans tunnel.

Here it is from the side. Hanging a little low but not bad:
