Any hints on how to do the FMIC install? I figured out where the pipes all go, but I don't have the first clue about the intercooler itself on how to mount it. I got two brackets, 4 bolts, two spacer looking things with threads in them and five washers... Help pleas!
Also, because of the extra large radiator and electric fans I can't get the pipe from the exit side of the intercooler to the intake to fit in there. Is it acceptable to bend into a slight angle to avoid the fan covers and what not?

The intercooler sits where the a/c condensor is in stock form. You remove the condensor brackets from the front of the radiator support, move the condensor rearward an inch or so towards the radiator, then put the IC in front of the radiator support so it's sitting down on the bottom of the bumper cover and sandwiched between the bumper cover and the radiator support (as shown on the pics on our site where you purchased it). The bracket in the box is "universal" and doesn't have to be used, though it will bolt to the upper radiator support without too much trouble.
You'll have to email me pics of the radiator/fan issue before I can give a good recommendation there.

Here's what I got so far with the header and down pipe. I still haven't figured out how to assemble the wastegate, but haven't really set down to look at those parts yet either! Here's a couple pictures of the interference with the electric fans. All help is really appreciated! I'm giddy waiting for the thing to fire up so I can hear that massive exhaust!

Oh, and what have people been doing with those heater hoses that now rest on the down pipe.

Looks like the 87-88 TC pipe may have worked better with that radiator/fan setup. You may have to swap it out unless you want to modify what you have there.
Those aren't the stock radiator hoses. Looks like on the one on top, you can just rotate the metal pipe so the bend points "up" instead of to the passenger side. As long as it clears by 1/2" or so it will be fine, though more is better. The stock hose goes much higher than the one you have there.

Is it just that one pipe that needs to be swapped with the TC kit or all? What's the price difference?
and with the hoses, the top hose I was trying to pull off the metal pipe and the metal pipe popped out of the heater core and won't stay back in, so can I just bypass that and join those two hoses together at the side of the block?

It's two pipes, the driver's side u-bend and the throttle body pipe. You could trade your unused/undamaged pipes with the TC ones for price of shipping ($25) plus the additional labor for me to make the new pipes ($25).
That sux, broke the tube off the heater core. Yes you can run them together to bypass it.

Any thoughts to making a slight or gradual bend or two in the pipes I have now? What are the chances I would ruin the pipes completely? Would it be safer to send them back to you and just pay the $50 needed to get the right size pipes? What about turn around time, when could they get back to me after I ship to you?

You're not going to find anyone who can bend them without crushing the pipes so your 2.5" pipes will flow like a 2" or smaller pipe after you have them tweaked.
The new pipes should ship within a few days of those being returned. Shipping will be 2-3 days each way though.

With the dual piston bpv I don't need to re-route that back into the intake correct? I read the single piston has driveablility issues or something like that and the dual piston is better... I think. The one sold on your page will work fine for me when I order the MS ECU system you will be selling later? I don't really know which air metering system I will want to go with, probably whatever you recommend for my set up!

The dual piston is for vam/maf based setups and doesn't require routing back into the intake tract. The MS setup doesn't care which bov you run, they all work fine.

Since I took the a/c parts out I'm having a hard time figuring out where I should mount the intercooler. In front of or behind the oil cooler lines? Or are those brake lines, or power steering lines... I need to go back out there and look again.
And I currently have the front fenders off and front bumper cover off. Would it make things easier if I had those on so I would know where everything is going to be and have room to move around body panels?

There are some pics in the listing for the FMIC kit on our site that show the IC location in the background. It would be easiest with the body panels in place as it will show exactly where it needs to go then. Basically remove the condensor brackets, then it goes right in front of the radiator support, behind the PS cooler tubes (may need to loosen up the mounting bolt for it) and it sits on the lower part of the bumper cover.

So how do I assemble this wastegate? No directions and no name on the package or unit and no knowledge on my part make this a puzzle. It's all I really need to be able to start the car this weekend.
