OK, after trying to find a driver to get my serial-usb adapter to work so I could get my Windows 7 laptop to communicate with the MS2 ecu, I finally succeeded. I loaded the new 85lb injector tune and the SVO fired right up. It was snowing out so I left it in the shop to run (door open) and it still filled the shop with exhaust. Regardless, I let it warm up to operating temp (202 degrees F) and shut it down so I could re-torque the head studs. Got home tonight and went out to re-torque the head. After I did that, I fired it back up and let it run for a minute or so to make sure everything was ok. Took a short video and called it a night. Bo-Port intake: The "home decking" job mentioned above: A nickel hammered into the EGR hole to seal it (added a little RTV to make sure it didn't leak): Going back together: Stock T3 until my 60mm turbo shows up: Back together: Unfortunately I discovered my digicam doesn't pick up exhaust sound very well but here is a short vid of the startup after the re-torque:

I did about an hour of driving around letting it do live tuning. It didn't make any changes over a value of 8 at any point on the scale and the average change was only a few points. I knew the tune wasn't too bad though so I'm not surprised.
On a side note, I've got a badly undersized turbo right now (stock T3) and it indicated that it made minimal boost as low as 1400 rpm! Seemed to reach max boost (14psi for now) somewhere before 2500rpm in 2nd and 3rd gear. It was funny to drive because it made crazy torque and spun in the first three gears down low and then as the turbo started to lose steam the cam came on and made it feel like it had two power bands.

I need to figure out if the camera will pick up the sound better when not in the garage...can't hear it very well in that vid.
I've got it tuned to 20psi now. At that boost, I can roll into it at 3500 rpm in 3rd gear (50mph or so) and it instantly destroys the tires and tries to spin into the ditch.

Well, I'm still trying to find a place that I can do that without the cops finding me...was a lot easier to do when I lived in the middle of nowhere.

I hear you. Because if the cops catch you they don't think its as cool as us gear heads do. I got busted smoking the tires in my '69 Barracuda not long ago. Had to go explain that to the judge. Luckily I only got a "driver spinning tires" ticket. He could have gotten me for reckless driving and negligent driving. I was real lucky that time.

Yeah, I'm not interested in any of that. Especially because they can say you were "street racing" even if there is no 2nd car involved...no thanks.

The rebuilt/upgraded turbo arrived from Supernatural Turbo ([a href=" www.supernaturalturbo.com"] www.supernaturalturbo.com[/a]). Upgraded to a 60mm compressor wheel and Stage 5 exhaust wheel. Supernatural is the place to go for rebuilds for sure. Hopefully I'll get it bolted on tomorrow and start tuning again.

Note that's my old scratched up compressor housing. That's also my old exhaust housing but they bead blasted it and coated it to prevent rust.
Here is a short video I took with my phone yesterday...still T3 turbo.
