Finally got my car running but am not sure what to set boost to. Motor is a 1988 turbo coupe motor, big vam, 36 lb injectors, merkur t3 non intercooled. What can i run the boost at without having a problem right now it is at 10psi.

Depends on a million factors. Non-intercooled severely limits it though. You'll need to listen for detonation and back off if it does (sounds like gravel in a tin can behind the dash or around the transmission). Your max will be somewhere between 12psi and 15psi (probably closer to 12).

Yeah I would leave it at 10 until you get a front mount. That is what we are doing. Better safe then sorry.

ya especially with my luck if I go any higher I will blow something. When I first put the motor in the ihi was bad so i found this t3 ran it for two days and it went out so now that its rebuilt trying to take it easy on everything. lol

Thats what I was thinking but how much boost could I run then? Also been haveing a problem starting it will fire then die if you try it again it will stay running but fluxuates from 1200 to 600 then eventually goes to about 1100. It didnt do this the first time I had the t3. I ran codes and the only codes are 81, 82, and 84.

Sounds like you need to clean the IAC and set the base idle as detailed on our main site.
I wouldn't waste any money front mounting the stock intercooler (couplers, tubing, clamps, etc. will be well over $100).

I cleaned the idle air tonight and it was still doing the same thing I will set the base idle tomorrow. Is it posible that maybe a vacuum leak could do this I will check for leaks tomorrow too.

go for it get some carb cleaner and spray that sucker to find any leaks sure did help with me. also let the iac sit over night with the carb cleaner in it might be more dirtier than you think. As for the top mount why don't you just hook it up to the tb and turbo, like the svo's and t-birds.

As far as the idle goes I would do a boost leak check to make sure you don't have vacuum leaks.
Also, make sure the TPS voltage is correct and consistent at idle. Hook up volt meter, move throttle to full open, check voltage, go back to idle check voltage, and repeat a dozen times or so to make sure the voltage is consistent. Also look for flat spots during the sweep.

The top mount wont clamp to this compressor housing because it has the two bolt flange. I got the base idle set havent started it yet. Couldnt find any vacuum leaks so im not sure what it is after it is warm the car runs and idles pretty good.

What does it mean if there is a white milky substance on the bottom of the pcv valve and the valve cover vent? I thought maybe it was the head gasket but oil is clean and all 4 cylinders have good compression?

It could be condensation in the oil, it could be milky oil from a previously blown headgasket. I'd wipe it off and see if it returns.
