Got the problem fixed the one spot in the back of the vac tree came unplugged, now I have another problem trying to swap to five speed but I can't get my speedo cable to reach after I swapped holes

Use the speedometer cable from a 5 speed car.

Hmm...it should reach. You may just need to remove one of the speedo cable brackets to get a big more slack.

I took the bracket off and it reached so its good to go, tranny goes in tomorrow Thanks for you guys help

Ok got the tranny in and its runnin great however my speedo is off and not sure why with the speedo at 75 road speed is 65

Sounds like you used the 5 speed speedo gear, not the auto trans speedo gear like is stated in the article.

I used the gear from the auto tranny all I did was cut the end so it will fit

Weird, what's your rear gear ratio and what's the numbers on the ID tag on the trans?

3.73s and I'm not sure about tranny tag ill have to check I think it has a yellow gear if that helps

I was wondering if it is possible to use a greddy type r bov with a vam? I searched it but couldn't find much.

I don't think a Greddy is a dual piston valve for metered air cars so no, not without some "issues".

What is the best synthetic oil to run in these motors preferably brand and weight, car is in need of oil change and I would like to go synthetic.

hey guys finally got the fmic and bov on but when I drove it down the road it wants to die when i let off, Im not sure why it is doing this. I did take the vapor box off plugged the port on intake and just left the gas take one open so it could vent. Any help is great thanks.

You most likely need to reset your base idle. Your IAC isn't responding fast enough to "catch" the rpm before it gets too low to stay running. Raise the base idle speed a bit and cleaning the IAC, then resetting the TPS idle voltage should do the trick.
