Here is a little tidbit to show that this isn't just a "DIY" kit that's been assembled like you might find elsewhere...our logo is printed right onto the board

Somebody drove a modded 5.0 to work today with the PIMP installed...and drove 40 miles yesterday...no issues.

I saw the install on the 5.0 (actually, I helped). The total process was about 2 hours, and that included installing the AEM wideband and getting the vacume line for the MAP sensor into the passenger compartment. If the wideband and vacume line were already in place the install would have taken less than an hour.

Im not to concerned about install time, mostly progress, but the fact that the car was on the road so quickly is a testament to how close the base tuning was, and i trust that stinger and his team will ensure that the 2.3's receive the same. My money is ready, just let me know when i can order, id pre-order if it where possible.

Only reason we aren't taking pre-orders is because then we feel obligated to have them out by a certain deadline. Without pre-orders, we can work at the pace required to make it perfect. It's already gained a number of options and features through the last 6 weeks or so.

My money is ready, just let me know when i can order, id pre-order if it where possible. While I understand you may think this indicates the "base tune" was close, in this particular case it was very far off. I had never used an MS on this particular combination (5.0 with huge cam and big heads) and was crunched for time. VE analyze live did a good job of getting it drivable quickly, but this particular combo is a difficult install. When I first got it running there was so much raw fuel dumping out the exhaust pipes I thought it was going to catch on fire. I have since driven it everyday to work, and the tune is getting close. Our goal is to provide base tunes and knowledge that allows purchasers of "PiMP" to achieve good results, but in no way want people to believe they can just plug it in and go. I have been tuning EMS systems for my entire adult life, and this particular vehicle would likely give some one with less experience a hard time. The mechanical install, and hardware configuration is what makes the system we bring to market unique for EEC4 Fords. The tuning and software portion is the same as any other MS based system (which is also like most other EMS systems) and will require varying amounts of fine tuning on the part of the end user depending on application.

I dont want to rain on anyones parade here, as I am very familiar with the standalone market and MS for certain, can t count all the cars I have had my hands in... Huber Mustang for one, several cars of mention that have participated and won Hot Rod mag Drag Week. Dont let the fact that this is a PnP piece fool any of you into thinking that you install, start and then go and hammer on the car. base tunes are close to get you going, but all engines are a little different, and one tune doesnt fit all cars... cold starts, accel enrichments, and a dozen other things that will either make starting and driving the car fun or a pain in the rear will need a little tweaking. Read the install guides, read the tuning guides and dont mess with what you dont understand... just my 2 cents You're not raining on anyone's parade. That's been known since the first page of this thread. Plug and Play refers to the ability to plug it into the stock harness and have a base tune to start the car. Then the "play" part begins where you tune the car so it can be hammered on safely. We've also covered the "don't mess with what you don't understand" in this thread. People asked if it's possible to "lock them out" of advanced settings so they don't screw up things by messing with stuff they should leave alone. I'm not sure if you didn't read the thread before posting or just skimmed it, etc. but it's all covered here. Nothing new was mentioned in your thread (except the Hubers winning drag week ) lol sorry I am guilty ... I skimmed...

I havent dealt with MS or any standalone system and dont know all the options, but want too soon I was wondering, this may be for a future project for someone to work on, instead of having a laptop in the car doing the data logging maybe someone could use a Ipod touch or Iphone? maybe even store a couple different preprogrammed setups on it and be able to switch for different driving methods on the fly? It would also be easy to uplug Iphone and take it inside to download it and play with a tune while sitting on my couch rather then sitting in the car in 30 degree weather I know it wouldnt be right away but does this sound like a good option to work on?
