I think the only thing stopping that from happening is the Iphone would have to be able to run the program, and the user would need to be able to navigate successfully through it with the touch screen options of an Iphone. For an Ipod I don't see how that could work at all.
Just a guess.

I havent dealt with MS or any standalone system and dont know all the options, but want too soon I was wondering, this may be for a future project for someone to work on, instead of having a laptop in the car doing the data logging maybe someone could use a Ipod touch or Iphone? maybe even store a couple different preprogrammed setups on it and be able to switch for different driving methods on the fly? It would also be easy to uplug Iphone and take it inside to download it and play with a tune while sitting on my couch rather then sitting in the car in 30 degree weather I know it wouldnt be right away but does this sound like a good option to work on? Phil Tobin (guy that makes Tunerstudio) is working on an Android version of Tunerstudio that should be in beta this spring.

OK, so who here meets these requirements:
1) Has a reliable windows based laptop with a battery that works for at least an hour (preferably with a serial port but not mandatory). 2) Has a wideband o2 meter. 3) Has decent computer skills. 4) Has at least a basic understanding of efi tuning. 5) Has a GOOD running/driving 2.3 (turbo or n/a) vehicle. 6) Has free time to install the ecu, run a vac hose through the firewall, install ecu, start/run/drive vehicle, etc. in the NEAR future (installed within 3-4 days of receiving the ecu). 7) Is interested in buying/testing a PIMP prototype at a discounted rate ($100-150 discount) in exchange for feedback.
If you fit these requirements, send me a PM outlining what you have like this: 1) laptop details... 2) wideband type/experience... 3) etc... 4) 5) 6) 7)
Thanks.

I too wish I where eligible, but I don't have a wideband. AEM lambda cable is only $180 at summit, and works GREAT for plug and play installation using a cut off factory oxygen sensor pigtail. That is what we are running on the 5.0 Stinger mentioned. For the discount you would get, it would be almost "break even"compared to production PIMP.

Hey just joined up here to ask this specific question. Will this be available as plug and play for a Merkur XR4Ti? I know in order to use an LA series ECU we have to repin our harness or the ECU itself. Also will it require use of an ACT like the LA series does?

It will be plug and play into a Merkur. You will need to add an ACT sensor.

Anyone else with a prototype got theirs running yet? My son has been tuning my 5.0 for me. He brought it to me yesterday. It runs way better than before with the A9M and the Moates adapter.
