I [icked up a deluxe boost valve kit so I can run the min 12 psi, then hit that little red button and switch to 18 just for fun. Question, what psi I should I get the vehicle tuned at? And since the wait on that build, I am getting a 5.0 just so when people see its a 4cyl I can tell them they can race my slower v8 if they want.

You'll want to tune it at the highest boost you can safely run with premium pump gas (which the tuner should be able to figure out if they are worth a damn). It should be somewhere in the 18-22psi range on 93 octane.

The highest around where I am at is 91 Octane. I figure I should be good up to 18psi. Dont really want to be cranking out much more boost than that.

You will need a SVO or TC flywheel to run the larger clutch in case you don't already have one. Factory 2.3 5 spd Mustangs have the smaller clutch and those flywheels won't work with the larger clutch the SVO and TC use.

Well it has been decided to actualy get the head and intakes ported. The new HP goal is 350, and eventually hit 400rwhp. I tried to get some pics of the car up and failed at it.

Got some new upper and lower control arms in, also should have and aluminum radiator with some dual fans. My head is done with the valve job for the bigger valves I order. So progress is being made.

Head is complete. I have a question about what is going to be a good shifting rpm for the track. Stock these thing red line a 6kish. But after mods what would they be able to shift safely at?

Stock shift rpm is actually closer to 5k. With the mods I'd expect it to be quickest shifting around 6k.

What about safest shifting? Since its going to be my DD it will only hit the track a couple times, however I dont know how many times it will be raced on the street.

The higher the rpm the more stress you put on the engine. Typically a stock 2.3 bottom end (with a head/cam/turbo package that likes to rev) can be shifted at 6500-7000 without issue. Of course that's harder on parts than 6000 which is harder on parts than 5000.

I found a 84 svo(running), with a 86tc engine LA3. What would be a good price for buying this?

Without knowing any further details, $500-$6000.
