That it's been running rich for a while and fuel is getting past the rings and into the oil...taking the lubrication away from the cylinder wall/piston at the same time.

ok so all this might be caused by a blown headgasket? ? so should i still do the compression test?

It's a 98% chance it's the headgasket. Whether you should even bother with a compression test depends mostly on how much of a hurry you are in and whether you can do it easily for free.

No, it's a mechanical problem. Mixing oil and coolant and burning coolant means coolant is somehow getting where it shouldn't...cracked head or headgasket is really the only way it can happen.

I'm deleting your other threads and posting what was said in this thread. From now on, post your questions in this thread only unless it has nothing to do with your current problem and is AFTER you've fixed the current problem (BLOWN HEADGASKET!!!) No need for the new thread above, as I said already you can buy a code scanner for $20 if you want to do it yourself and you don't need to use the check engine light with it. I don't see any point for this thread. You have a blown headgasket or a cracked head, I already told you that. Coolant in your oil isn't from a sensor. White smoke isn't from a sensor, it's from burning coolant. I feel like I can say this until I'm blue in the face and you'll still not hear what I'm saying. You don't need to start any more threads until you change your headgasket. Once you do change your headgasket, you can add to your own thread...that's what threads are for, to update the status of your car. Starting a new thread every time you want to doubt what I'm telling you only makes it harder to follow what is going on with your car. Keep it all in one thread.

Sometimes there is a reason to be a d1ck and one of those times is when you've tried every other means to help someone and they aren't listening to any of it. IF you have a problem with the way I post on MY forum, you can throw all the info I have given you ( by taking time out of my day to try and help you free of charge, even when you won't listen and I have to repeat myself 3-4 times : , then you can throw my info in the trash and continue to listen to the misinformed individuals that are giving you bad information locally. You came here for help, I've tried multiple times to provide help. The ball's in your court...either accept the information you receive here and use it to your advantage or continue to not listen. If you choose to continue to not listen, your privilege to be a part of this forum will cease to exist.

Wanting to learn is a good quality. You just need to see that the first step to learning is listening.
A very small amount of coolant will make a ton of smoke/steam. This means you can loose very little coolant (like the amount in your overflow tank) and the radiator will still appear full though it's burning some coolant.

I agree with stinger. I had the same problem as u are having a couple of months ago. I did a compression test and found that the #2 cylinder was not firing and after removing the head to change the head gasket, I noticed that there was cracks everywhere especially in the #2 cylinder area. I also noticed my exhaust valve was chipped in the #2.
So all in all, I believe the compression test is very very helpful in this situation! ;D
